Meet Our 2008 African Exchange Students!

Peter Maluleke, born and bred in Hammeskraal, but now lives in Cullinan with both his parents, and two siblings, a brother and sister. He matriculated in the year 2004, and joined the Field Band Foundation in the year 2005. He is a Baritone player for his band.

Freddy Mondhlana, originally from Witbank, lives with his unemployed mother and three sisters. Freddy matriculated in the year 2005, where he joined the Witbank FBF in the same year, he plays Tuba in the band.

Vukile Mabija, lives with his unemployed single mom in Kimberley, together with his brother and 3 cousins. He matriculated in 2006 and joined the Kimberley Field Band as a Trumpet player in 2005.

Victoria Molelekwa, better known as “Stella”, is from Kimberley. Stella lives with her single Mother, and twin sister. She matriculated in the year 2006. She joined the Kimberley Field band in 2000 and has been a member of the dancers since then.

 

 
Pioneer Indoor Claims Championship

For the second consecutive year, Pioneer Indoor (1st-94.9) claimed the title of the top Independent A percussion line at the 2008 WGI World Championships. Taking top placements in Effect and Performance and second place in Visual, the happy-go-lucky, rollicking resort-like ambiance of “On a Roll” explored gaming in some unnamed casino town, with a light pop feel saturating the show with a sense of impending luck about to make someone very, very happy.
