Pioneer Photos From Tour

Thank You, Thank You, Thank You!

Thank you to all of the extra-ordinary human beings making up the 2012 Pioneer Corps Family who helped, performed, produced, taught, and served the “Irish Immigrants”, the hands that built America. You cannot be thanked enough!

Every day we took on “challenges” that made you and the corps better. The attitude and Es spirit de corps was outstanding. The methods and results were also stories in themselves. What memories! What an outstanding group of people assembled for our 80 day trek around the country.

2012 was the hottest season ever in my 60 years of Corps life. But we all endured and along the way encountered so many memories. Traveling was long but the bus air-conditioning worked all summer (often too well!). Housing in some of the schools was awesome except for the challenges in Erie, PA and St. Clair, PA schools. The food was again plentiful, even during the week that we served it out of a little trailer. The teaching staff worked us every minute and our cultural events each were other stories themselves.

Our final score and placement were shocking, despite our feeling that it was among our best performances. While yes, it does hurt, we cannot let the pain linger. It will not take away the joy and experiences we had all summer in the company of so many high-achieving people. We, as a corps need to finish up, regroup, and take on the 2013 season.

I cannot say THANK YOU enough to all of you!

Better Every Day!
