DID YOU KNOW?
GARRY OWEN became the marching tune for the 69th Infantry Regiment of New York (fighting 69) in the mid 19th century. It adopted Garry Owen before the U.S. Civil War (1861-65) and recently in combat in Operation Iraqi Freedom Camp Garry Owen which is located in the Maysan Province (Southeastern) of Iraq. The base is near the city of Al- Amarah with the 2/7 Cavalry!
Pioneer Pit Auxiliary Percussionist, age-out, Andrew Vowell (member #2019) who marched in 2008 and 2009 recently graduated from the University of Louisiana in Monroe, LA and is seeking new members throughout the Bosier City/Shreveport area of Louisiana.

PERCUSSION ARRANGER JOHN Mc FARLAND:
Percussion Caption Head, Tyrell Carver has announced that our percussion composer/arranger John Mc Farland will be attending the April Camp. This camp is where we traditionally make decisions about the size of the corps for the coming season.
It will be a please for all of us to personally welcome Mr. John Mc Farland to the Pioneer Corps!
